Welsh Fire Museum

Business Connect have supported the Welsh Fire Museum which is a charity run by the Wales Fire Engine Restoration Society (WAFERS).  The Museum is located in Lonlas Workshops and they are hoping to move to larger premises.  The organisation is run by volunteers and their collection of fire fighting memorabilia and restored fire engines is among the best in the UK.

Hafodwen Holiday Cottage

Dorothy Stephens and her husband runs a successful self catering business as well as running a busy farm.  Their large, detached holiday cottage, Hafodwen, is graded 4 stars and sleeps up to 12/14.  Dorothy asked Business Connect for help with designing a website to attract more visitors.

Bryn Bettws Log Cabins

Mr Griffiths approached Business Connect for advice and support with raising funding to open his holiday accommodation log cabins.  Today Bryn Bettws Log Cabins is a thriving business. The Cabins are located near Afan Argoed making them ideal for mountain bikers. Business Connect are also assisting Mr Griffiths with his future plans to expand the business.

HCM (South Wales) Ltd

HCM (South Wales) Ltd in Resolven received support from Business Connect with their plans for expansion.  They received assistance with the preparation of a business plan which raised funding from the local Authority to purchase new equipment.  This successful project helped to create jobs and safeguard existing jobs.
